Fenway Alliance Statement, Policy and Pledge on Inclusion, Equity & Justice
The Fenway Alliance stands in partnership and solidarity with all who work for equity, justice and the dismantling of systemic racism.
We resist barriers to inclusion based on race, ethnicity, economics, age, gender, and ability. We support and assist our 22-members’ sincere, vigorous, and sustained actions toward creating institutional cultures that are more equitable, representative of, and welcoming to all. We pledge to also assist our members’ urgently necessary actions to promote diverse voices and leadership that represent those previously excluded. We pledge to use our long-term advocacy experience to amplify voices to address inequity on the local and state level, working closely with the City of Boston to create greater equality in Boston.

Last Sunset of Summer
The beloved annual Fenway Alliance gathering Last Sunset of Summer was held on Tuesday, September 9th, 2025 and co-hosted by Residence Inn by Marriott Back Bay. This annual event brings together our corporate partners, institutional members and community organizations for a fun, casual networking evening on the rooftop deck at the Residence Inn overlooking the historic Fenway Park. The Fenway Alliance is a consortium of 21 nationally and internationally renowned cultural and academic institutions located in the Fenway. It defines the best of arts, culture, education, and research in Boston - and beyond.
Together with our institutional members, corporate partners, and community organizations we create innovative and relevant programming that supports local artists and entrepreneurs while allowing improved access to the unique offerings of the Fenway to the greater public.
Our Mission
The Fenway Alliance, a consortium of 21 nationally and internationally renowned cultural and academic institutions located in the Fenway, defines the best of arts, culture, education, and research in Boston and beyond. We come together as one entity to create and sustain the Fenway Cultural District, and to provide the highest quality intellectual, social and cultural opportunities for individuals and families throughout the region.
Our collective goal is to enhance the District, creating a 5-mile area in the City of Boston that remains and grows in its uniquely rich academic and cultural offerings, and its beautiful parklands and green spaces.
