Northeastern's main campus is situated on 60 acres along the Avenue of the Arts, between the Museum of Fine Arts and Symphony Hall. It consists of 37 academic and administrative buildings and 19 dormitory and residential buildings.
Founded in 1898 as a part-time night school, Northeastern today is a world leader in practice-oriented education, a learning model that fuses workplace experience, professional education and the liberal arts and sciences.
