One of the finest concert halls in the world, New England Conservatory's
Jordan Hall was built at the turn of the 20th Century by arts patron Eben
D. Jordan. Symphony Hall, where James Levine reigns over a world-class
orchestra and conductor Keith Lockhart annually presents the popular Boston
Pops, is always home to great musical artists from around the world. The Huntington Theatre Company offers world-class theatrical productions, and the Wheelock Family Theatre offers shows suitable for every type of family. Friday evening is film night at the Museum of Fine Arts, Boston, and the MFA offers an outdoor summer concert series as well. Readings and lectures abound at virtually all of the arts and educational venues in the District. |
