Colleges and Universities

Founded in 1945, Berklee College of Music is the world's largest independent music college and the premier institution for the study of contemporary music. Alumni include such stars as producer/arranger Quincy Jones, rock singer/songwriter Melissa Etheridge, guitarist and "Tonight Show" bandleader Kevin Eubanks, and singer/songwriter Paula Cole.


The Boston Conservatory, founded in 1867, trains exceptional young performing artists for careers that enrich and transform the human experience. Known for its multi-disciplinary curriculum, TBC offers fully accredited graduate and undergraduate programs in Music, Dance, and Theater, and Music Education. Each year, the Conservatory also hosts over 200 performances by students, faculty, and guest artists.


Emmanuel College, founded in 1919, prepares men and women with the skills to succeed in tomorrow's world and by combining an excellent education in the liberal arts and sciences, shaped by human values and a Catholic heritage, and a strong career development and internship program.


At Harvard School of Public Health more than 300 faculty members are engaged in teaching and training the 800-plus student body in a broad spectrum of disciplines crucial to the health and well being of individuals and populations around the world.


Established in 1873, Massachusetts College of Art was the first and remains the only four-year independent public college of art and design in the US. MassArt is nationally known for offering broad access to a quality professional arts education, accompanied by a strong general education in the liberal arts



Founded in 1823, The Massachusetts College of Pharmacy and Health Sciences is the oldest college in Boston and the largest college of pharmacy in the US. Today, in addition to its traditional programs in pharmacy, the college offers a growing list of health-related degree programs including physician assistant studies, radiologic sciences, and dental hygiene.

 


Recognized nationally and internationally as a leader among music schools, New England Conservatory of Music, the only music school in America to be designated a National Historic Landmark, was founded in 1867. The New England Conservatory of Music presents more than 600 free concerts each year in New England Conservatory's Jordan Hall and throughout New England.


Founded in 1898, Northeastern is known as a world leader in practice-oriented education, a learning model that fuses workplace experience, professional education and the liberal arts and sciences. Northeastern's main campus situated on 60 acres, consists of 37 academic and administrative buildings and 19 dormitory and residential buildings.


As one of only three schools nation-wide affiliated with a major museum, The School of the Museum of Fine Arts, Boston, offers students the opportunity to design a program of study that best suits their needs and goals, in the unique setting of the Fenway Cultural District. The Museum School's fine arts programs are distinguished by their interdisciplinary, fully elective nature, and by their individualized format.


Simmons College was the first four-year college in the nation to provide both liberal arts and career preparation for women. Today the College also includes four co-ed graduate programs, and the world's only MBA program designed specifically for women.


Founded in 1904, Wentworth Institute of Technology offers bachelor's degrees in architecture, design, engineering, technology, and management technology. Wentworth provides an education that balances classroom theory with practice and work experience through its strong co-op program.

Wheelock College is a private, co-educational college serving undergraduate and graduate students in the areas early childhood and elementary education, social work, and child life. Founded in 1888 by Lucy Wheelock, a pioneer in the American kindergarten movement, Wheelock is internationally recognized for its mission to improve the lives of children and families.
